Virtual camp | Anywhere

Virtual Camp Norden is a camp for connection and creativity that meets kids where they are at. Childhood cancer kids from around the country will receive a virtual reality headset and meet their counselors and fellow campers in virtual reality, where experts have planned a full week of activities.

In-person camp | Crosslake, MN

Aug 17-21, 2024

In-person Camp Norden was created especially for kids who have experienced cancer so that they can connect while participating in typical summer camp activities like horseback riding and tubing. Our onsite medical staff encourages exploration while providing safe and accessible experiences.

  • Our Camp Medical Director, Dr. Karim Sadak, is a pediatric oncologist who has helped create a team of nurses and volunteer staff who are fully equipped to accommodate the needs of kids who have been affected by cancer. By applying to Camp Norden, we will get a holistic picture of your child's medical needs and ensure that our medical team and camp facilities can safely support your camper.

  • Campers can attend virtual camp from anywhere, whether at home or in the hospital. No technical knowledge is needed - we'll send you everything you need and our virtual camp counselors are great at helping you get set up for a successful camp experience.

Why is in-person Camp Norden located at Camp Knutson?

Camp Knutson has been hosting camps for individuals with disabilities, medical conditions and other identified needs for over 65 years. They have the facilities and the expertise needed to allow kids with medical needs to have the full summer camp experience in a safe way.
